My computer is on but nothing is on the screen, what could it be?
Make sure you have properly connected the power cord to a working power source and the power switch/ button on the front of the monitor is on.

Adjust the brightness/ controls on the front of the monitor.

Make sure the video cable is plugged into both the system and the back of the monitor. Tighten the thumbscrews on the cable's connection to the system.

Unplug the video cable and make sure that none of the pins are bent. If they are, try straightening them.

Carefully open the case and make sure the video card is securely placed in the slot.

If none of these solve your problem, please contact us for additional support.

How much ventilation does my computer require?
We generally recommend a foot of clearance space on all sides of the case. It is important to make sure that you don't have too many cables gathered in the back. Enclosed desks or shelves are not recommended.

What should I use to clean my computer components, i.e. monitor, keyboard, case?
For keyboards we recommend you first shut down your pc. The turn over the keyboard and gently tap the back to release any debris. You can then use compressed air to remove any dust. Lastly, using rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab or cloth, gently wipe the keys down. You may use the same process for the mouse.

Use an ammonia-free glass cleaner and a soft cloth to wipe down your monitor. Ammonia based cleaners have been known to damage certain types of screens.

Compressed air can be used to clean out the inside of your case.

Why is my hard drive size smaller than advertised?
Hard drive manufacturers define 1 gigabyte as exactly 1,000,000,000 bytes. By their definition, a 45BG hard drive is exactly 45,000,000,000 bytes. The true definition of 1 gigabyte is actually 1,073,741,824 bytes:

1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte
1024 kilobytes = 1 megabyte
1024 megabytes = 1 gigabyte

To obtain the true size in gigabytes of a 45BG hard drive you must divide the manufacturer's size in bytes by the number of bytes in a gigabyte:

45,000,000,000/1,073,741,824 = 41.9

As such, the actual reported size in gigabytes will always be smaller than the manufacturer's advertised size.
